Le Carré’s first post-Cold War novel, published in 1993, is a classic tale of an amateur in the world of tradecraft. Jonathan Pine normally runs the front desk of a Zurich hotel, but ends up undercover in the organization of a major international arms dealer, as part of a plot cooked up by British intelligence. Unfortunately for Pine, it isn’t the only British intelligence plot involving this arms dealer, and he becomes embroiled in an inter-agency turf war with potentially fatal consequences. The Night Manager was recently adapted for the small screen, winning several Emmys and Golden Globes. This first edition is in fine condition throughout, and is extremely collectable.
First edition, first printing, fine condition, in a dust jacket in archival acetate cover. 1993.
